Ju-jitsu International “Grand Slam” Tournaments and World Cup Tournament among Juniors started in Bangkok. From the very first day, the performances of our compatriots become triumphant: treasury of sporting achievements of Turkmenistan has been replenished with 29 medals, six of them are gold, nine – silver and 14 – bronze. The competitions were held in two disciplines of the mentioned single combat – “ne-waza” and “duo”. Kemal Meredov, Myrat Gimmiev, Dowran Myradov, Nasibjan Izbasarov and Maral Ovezgeldieva became gold medal winners. Allamyrat Garaev, Jelilmuhammet Hojamyradov, Mekan Nurjikov, Jonybek Atajanov, Lyale Nuryeva, Ulyana Kudinova, Ogulnar Atdaeva, Aisoltan Garchovova and Violetta Krovyakova were awarded silver medals. Bronze awards are under belts of Yalkym Nuryev, Rahat Kurbanov, Rahmet Taganov, Mergen Joraev, Mergen Tejenov, Amina Halyllaeva, Dinara Jumadurdyeva, Gulbahar Madreimova, Madina Aidogdyeva, Patma Hojieva, Govher Atdaeva, Leyli Kulieva and Yusup Tanryberdiev, Yalkym Nuryev, Myrat Gimmiev and Jelilmuhammet Hojamyradov competing in the “duo” doubles. Mentors of Martial Arts Federation of Turkmenistan Dovletmyrat Kasymov and Omar Muhammetnazarov prepared our athletes for the current competitions. Ju-Jitsu is included in the program of 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, so the tournaments in Thailand has become an important stage of preparation for the largest sports event in the history of our country.
