Joint-stock company «Türkmen ýüpek» under the Ministry of textile industry has developed a plan for the procurement campaign of cocoons in 2017. Measures in this direction have already been, including the expansion of forage reserve- mulberry plantations, providing manufacturers with quality grain and effective technologies of cultivation of silkworm larvae, providing an opportunity to provide valuable raw materials to processing enterprises in the industry. The total volume of silkworm cocoons, which will be prepared in 2017, amount to 2 thousand 30 tons. Including: Akhal welayat - 155 tons, Balkan - 25 tons, Dashoguz - 485 tons, Lebap - 960 tons, Mary - 405 tons.
