The capital's Olympic Village Business Center hosted a press conference dedicated to complex preparations for the V Asian Indoors and Martial Arts Games to be held in September this year in Ashgabat. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Executive Committee of the Asian Games 2017, the National Olympic Committee, the State Committee on Sports, foreign experts on organization of international sports forums. It has been noted that the Olympic Village, the creation of which has been initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, is unprecedented in the scale of development of sports facilities and sites which will host V Asian Games. In the future, the Village is planned to host even larger competitions such as the Olympic Games. Many of the sports complexes of the town - athletics, cycling track, etc. - already have international certificates of first category, which allow organization of any world-class tournaments on their basis. Director of “Trivandi Chanzo Ltd.” company Mick Wright, speaking at a press conference, highlighted that in order to insure success of such large-scale events, all important aspects such as the modeling of the project of sports facilities, integrated work in preparation for competitions, well organized and regular testing process and thematic trainings for volunteers and sports professionals, have been taken into consideration. This gives confidence that the forthcoming complex continental level Games in September will be held at the highest organizational level. Mick Wright expressed his deep appreciation to the President for the opportunity to participate in preparation of the Asian Games 2017. According to him, in the course of conduction of various events in the Olympic town, it became apparent that all the details were taken into account in the process of construction of sports facilities, up to comfortable stands for spectators, places for media representatives and more. Mick Wright has extensive experience in organizing major international multi-sport forums. One of them is the Olympic Games 2012 in London. The next test competition to be held in spring in the Olympic village will be major international tournaments in kickboxing, swimming and weightlifting.
