On October 10, 2024, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rifkat Minnikhanov.

Expressing gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people for the opportunity of a personal meeting, the head of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan said that it was a great honor for him, as part of his stay in Turkmenistan during the widely celebrated 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, to be awarded in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan with the jubilee medal «Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna» and a commemorative sign.

In this regard, the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan expressed sincere gratitude to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Having expressed gratitude for the kind words, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted the importance of the activities carried out by the head of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan to study and popularize the literary heritage of the great poet Magtymguly Fragi.

Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation successfully cooperate in the fields of science and education, along with other areas. Exchanges of creative delegations and joint cultural events help strengthen ties in this area.

Rifkat Minnikhanov noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the development of science and the introduction of innovative technologies into various sectors of the country's economy.
