Today, on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the independence of the Homeland, in accordance with the Decrees signed by the President of Turkmenistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a ceremony was held to present high state awards to military personnel, conferring regular military and special ranks, as well as class ranks to military personnel and law enforcement officers.

Worthy successors to the glorious traditions of legendary courageous ancestors – officers, soldiers, cadets, law enforcement officers – are nominated for awards for their services in strengthening and protecting state independence, protecting the territorial integrity and constitutional system of Turkmenistan, increasing the defense capability of the Homeland, ensuring the safety and tranquility of citizens, and educating defenders Fatherland in the spirit of courage and patriotism.

Receiving awards, with a sense of high pride, the participants of the celebration, who inextricably connected their fate with the defense of their beloved Homeland, kneeled and kissed the edge of the sacred State Flag of Turkmenistan as a sign of loyalty to the military oath, eternal devotion to the Homeland and readiness to selflessly guard the peaceful and creative life of the people of Turkmenistan.

Our people throughout their history have been faithful to the principles of peace, good neighborliness and humanism. Today they form the basis of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy strategy.

The task of comprehensively strengthening the country’s defense capability and modernizing the material and technical base of the Armed Forces is always the focus of attention of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. It should be noted that this task is fully consistent with the main provisions of the exclusively defensive Military Doctrine of independent Turkmenistan and its peace-loving foreign policy.

As the head of state notes, the main goal of the Military Doctrine is to ensure the protection of the sacred borders of the Homeland, peace and prosperity in the country.

As a result of the efforts of the President of Turkmenistan, the material and technical base of military and law enforcement agencies is constantly being strengthened, national legislation is being improved, highly qualified personnel are being trained, the service and living conditions of soldiers and officers are being improved, and comfortable residential buildings are being built for defenders of the Motherland and members of their families.

Particular attention is paid to educating the younger generation in the spirit of boundless love for the Homeland, studying the glorious pages of its great past. Throughout the history, the brave sons of the Turkmen people have set an example of dedication, courage and heroism.

The military personnel, who flawlessly fulfilled their sacred duty and received awards, military and special ranks, class ranks, expressed sincere gratitude to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, for the high trust placed in them and assured that they would make every effort to ensure the protection of neutral Turkmenistan and strict compliance with law and order.
