On December 5, the Conference Hall of the National Sports and Tourism Institute hosted the meeting focused on discussing the Turkmen President- initiated Resolution on encouraging sportsmen – the winners in the Olympics and other large international competitions, as well as their coaches. The meeting was attended by senior officials of the State Sports Committee and the capital’s sports schools, the teachers of Sport University, coaches and leading athletes. The attendees unilaterally agreed that to succeed in the upcoming Asiada–2017, what is above all needed is to activate participation of Turkmen athletes in major sports events. Not the least significant is the performance-based incentive system which motivates development of sports of the highest achievements.
