Today, the solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the annual competition of scientific works among the youth of Turkmenistan was held at Oguzhan University of Engineering Technologies.

The prestigious state competition, traditionally held on the eve of the Day of Science celebrated in our country on June 12, was organized by the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization.

Members of the Government, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of the scientific community, faculty and university students took part in the solemn ceremony of honoring the rising luminaries of domestic science.

So, in the current year, which is held under the motto “Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar”, 1,362 people took part in the competition of scientific works. Students and young scientists presented their developments, theoretical investigations and researches in six priority areas of science and technology. Among them are Nanotechnology, chemical technology, the study of new materials and energy; Biotechnology, molecular Biology, Agriculture, Ecology and Genetics; Information and Communication Systems, Computer Technologies; Technologies of Modern Medicine and Production of Medicines; Innovative Economy; Humanitarian Sciences.

After analyzing the relevance and importance of the selected topics, the expert commission determined the names of the most deserving contenders for the awards. The competent jury of the competition chose the works of 67 young scientists of the total number of contestants.

To the thunderous applause of those present, they were awarded honorary diplomas and valuable gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.

Honoring young scientists has become not only a high state assessment and recognition of their talent, but also eloquent evidence of the great attention paid in our country to the development of science, attracting young people to active research activities.

The awardees of the intellectual competition addressed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sincere gratitude for the all-round care shown for the younger generation, assuring that with their tireless, selfless work they would serve to increase the authority and glory of their native Homeland.

At the end of the ceremony, its participants adopted a thank-you Address to the President of Turkmenistan.

The solemn event was completed with a festive concert with the participation of masters of art and creative teams of the country’s universities.
