Today, the “Adalat” Palace has hosted the 5th conference of judges of Turkmenistan, which was attended by representatives of the Supreme Court, the Arbitration Court, and judges of regional, city and districy courts. The forum agenda held via a digital system, included the priority objectives of further improvement of performance of the judicial bodies of the country.

The speakers highlighted that at the present time, due to the democratic reforms being carried out in the legal sphere under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, successes are achieved in various areas. At the same time, emphasis was placed on the fact that Turkmenistan guarantees social security of a person, provides due support and creates favorable conditions for a free and decent life of every citizen.

As it was emphasized, the judicial bodies of the country, exercising justice, protect the rights and freedoms of citizens of Turkmenistan, as well as state and public interests protected by law. All activities in this area are focused on maintaining law and order, eliminating the causes and conditions that led to the offense.

One of the major topics was the implementation of the “Program for the Development of the Judicial System of Turkmenistan for 2022-2028”, approved by the Decree of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country on July 5, 2022. It was noted in this context that in view of the provisions specified in the document, concrete measures are taken to improve the principles of justice and legal proceedings, to ensure unprejudiced and independent judicial decisions in accordance with national legislation and generally recognized standards of international law. At the same time, great attention is paid to the improvement of professional level and legal culture of employees of judicial bodies.

Among the issues under review were prospective plans for the implementation of provisions outlined in the Concept of Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan in 2019-2025. In this regard, emphasis was placed on the importance of active introduction of advanced technologies in the activity of the institution.

Following the forum, the relevant decisions were adopted.

The participants in the 5th conference of judges of the country expressed their gratitude to Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov for creating conditions to increase the efficiency of the judicial system, assuring that they, unselfish and faithfully fulfilling their duties, will serve the Homeland and the people with honor, applying all their knowledge and experience for the successful achievement of the goals set before them.
