Today, the capital hosted the 4th regular Congress of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (PIET).
The forum, which brought together delegates from the capital and all regions of the country, analyzed the work done over the past period, identified the priority tasks facing the PIET in the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, and considered a number of organizational issues.
Leaders and representatives of political parties and public organizations, deputies of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh, and mass media were also invited to participate in the congress.
Comprehensive development of entrepreneurship in Turkmenistan, increasing the importance of the private sector through the widespread introduction of modern market mechanisms are among the priorities of the socio-economic policy pursued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
In accordance with the economic strategy of the head of state, Turkmen entrepreneurship is assigned the role of one of the system-forming factors in the industrialization of the national economy, the manufacture of products competitive on the world market. Today, Turkmenistan has created optimal legal, economic, financial and social conditions for the well-coordinated and effective development of small and medium-sized businesses, support for private initiative.
As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted in his speech at the meeting of the Dovlet Maslakhaty, “the private sector plays a large role in solving the tasks we face in manufacturing high-quality and competitive products, ensuring food abundance, building industrial enterprises, modern shopping centers and villages”. The head of Turkmenistan invariably emphasizes that the state will continue to support the private sector of the economy and individual entrepreneurship.
In their speeches, the Congress participants noted that the main goal of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs is to be a reliable assistant to the state in implementing a socially oriented policy that ensures the well-being of the people, the prosperity of the Homeland.
As part of the forum agenda, reports of the Chairman of the Central Council and heads of regional branches of the Party, the Audit Commission were heard, and organizational issues were considered.
The delegates elected new members of the Central Council of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Audit Commission. S. Ovganov was re-elected as Chairman of the Central Council of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. Amendments to the Charter and the Program of the PIET were also unanimously approved.
The participants of the 4th Congress of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan accepted a letter of thanks to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in which they expressed great gratitude to the head of state for his attention and support provided to the development of domestic entrepreneurship, and assured that they would continue to work with inspiration to make a significant contribution to the process of modernizing the national economy, implementing the strategic state programs, and bringing the country to the forefront of development.
