These days, Medyn’ town (the Russian Federation) hosts the World Universal Fighting Championship attended by about 300 competitors from 35 countries – Germany, France, Finland, China, Israel, Iran, etc. On the first day of competitions, Turkmen sportsmen won three bronze medals in the “light” fights (the fights with application of wrestle technique only). In the Turkmen team, most prominent was Shohrat Orazgeldyev – a bronze prize-winner in the weight class under 60 kg. Haji Movlamov (under 75 kg) and Serdar Kurbanov (under 80 kg) were the first-time bronze medal winners. The successful work of trainer – Orazgeldy Orazgeldyev, who prepared our athletes to the World Championship, is also worth noting.
