Turkmenistan has been elected to the composition of the Executive Board of the UN Structure for Gender Equality and Expansion of Women Opportunities (UN-Women) for 2022 – 2024 at the regular session of the UN Economic and Social Council on April 20.

Speaking of the coming activity in the composition of the Executive Board of the UN-Women, it is worth to mention that being a full member of the United Nations and having joined the main international conventions in this sphere, Turkmenistan takes steadfast measures for implementations of provisions of these important documents and strictly follows undertaken obligations.

All conditions have been made in the country in order for women would be able to realize their professional, intellectual and creative potential. The government guarantees the protection of provision of their rights and perform integrated work of protection of mother and child health.
