Farmers of Dashoguz Region, where the sowing campaign starts a bit later than in other regions of the country, has started cotton sowing today.

This year 155,000 hectares have been allocated for the cotton. It is planned to produce 275,000 tons of cotton from these fields. Farmers of the region preffer such medium fiber breeds of cotton as Dashoguz 120, Dashoguz 114, Gubadag 3, C 4727, Jeyhun, 149F and other.

More than 2,020 high-production tractors as well as 452 sowing machines and cotton cultivators will be used in the sowing. 132 teams, which are provided with mobile workshops, welding machines and vehicles for supplying fuel, have been formed up in the region. In general, it will allow providing an interrupted rates of work, which mae reliable base for future harvest.
