Turkmenistan 2015 top chess player

The ceremony of awarding medallists and winners in the Women’s Premier League Chess Championship of Turkmenistan took place at the specialised chess and checkers school in Ashgabat. Chess players also competed for medals in the blitz (rapid chess) tournament of the Chess Championship of Turkmenistan 16 young sportswomen from all regions and the Turkmen capital participated in the competitions. 17-year-old Women Candidate Master Jemal Ovezdurdieva coached by Honoured Coach of Turkmenistan Shohratkuli Muratkuliev gained 12 points out of 15. The young Turkmen athlete won the title of the champion and fulfilled the qualifying standards of Master of Sports. A student of the National Institute of Tourism and Sports, Women Candidate Master Tavus Bayramsahatova took the second place with 11 points. Hurma Velieva from Ashgabat got 11 points as well but lost to the silver winner in coefficient of ratio. Mengli Ovezovafrom Ashgabat has the first pace in the blitz tournament, which was held in our country for the first time. At present, our chess players are preparing for another tournament – traditional summer national contest that will be held at the specialised chess and checkers school in Ashgabat on June 15-20.
