An important event of international importance – Conference of Ministers of Transport of Landlocked Developing Countries – was held on August 15-16 this year in the Avaza National Tourist Zone. The outcome of the Forum, organized by the Government of Turkmenistan under the auspices of the UN, was the main theme of the briefing held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The next issue of the quarterly popular science magazine “Miras”, published by the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts named after Magtymguly of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, has gone to print. A series of publications devoted to the study of the richest historical and cultural heritage of the Turkmen people, the results of research conducted in our country and new archaeological finds continues on its pages.

Today, the Berkarar Hotel of the Avaza National Tourist Zone hosted a briefing dedicated to the results of the International Conference of Ministers of Transport of Landlocked Developing Countries and events timed to coincide with it. The Ashgabat Process: Financing for Better Connectivity Forum was organized by the Government of Turkmenistan under the auspices of the United Nations.

The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent deep condolences to the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in connection with the loss of life and injuries as a result of the explosion in the Surmalu shopping center in the city Yerevan.
