Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an enlarged session of the Cabinet of Ministers with the participation of heads of diplomatic missions and consular offices of Turkmenistan in foreign countries and missions of Turkmenistan under international organizations to consider priority issues of the country’s foreign policy.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the people and the Government of Turkmenistan, as well as on his own behalf, sent sincere congratulations and best wishes to President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo and all the people of the country on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Indonesia.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has received a delegation from the United Arab Emirates led by Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Sultan Al Jaber.

With a view of further development of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the State of Qatar, I decree:

Under the wise leadership of deeply esteemed President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the Era of Revival of the Epoch of the Powerful State, the peace-loving foreign policy based on the status of permanent neutrality of our country is successfully realized. Our country committed to principles of neutrality inherited from our ancestors, further develops equal cooperation with world countries and international organizations.

Guided by principles of clemency and humanism, advocated by our great ancestors, with a view of further strengthening the unity and solidarity of Turkmen society and every family as well as on the occasion of International Day of Neutrality, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree “On pardoning convicted persons on the occasion of International Day of Neutrality” having released pardoned citizens of our country from further serving their punishment as deprivation of freedom.

In accordance with Laws of Turkmenistan “On diplomatic service”, “On diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan in foreign countries” and “On consular offices of Turkmenistan abroad” as well as with a view of improvement of activity of diplomatic missions and consular offices of Turkmenistan abroad and ensuring efficiency of fulfilment of obligations laid upon them, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution “On financial affairs of the diplomatic service of Turkmenistan”. In accordance with the document, the budget of expenditures of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as maintenance of diplomatic missions and consular offices in foreign countries for 2023 was approved.

With a view of improvement of social and living conditions of employees of diplomatic missions and consular offices of Turkmenistan in foreign countries and strengthening of material and technical basis of diplomatic missions as well as use of the land plot allotted in accordance with the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan of November 27, 1996, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution having allowed the Embassy of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan (Tashkent city) to conclude a contract with “Döwlet gurluşyk” Economic Society for construction of a residential house of 12 flats for its employees in Tashkent city of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Based on great traditions of humanism of ancestors of Turkmenistan, brotherly and good neighbourhood relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tajikistan as well as with a view of rendering the humanitarian aid to the Tajik people, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution having allowed the Embassy of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Tajikistan (Dushanbe city) to conclude a contract with “Döwlet gurluşyk” Economic Society for construction of a complex of a comprehensive secondary school named after Magtymguly for 540 schoolchildren in farmers’ association “Ergesh Sultanov” in Dusti district of Khatlon region of the Republic of Tajikistan.

With a view of further improvement of activity of the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography, having opened at its basis, the International information centre, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution having approved the structure of the central office of the above-mentioned State Committee.
