Today, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country general Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the State Security Council, at which the work of military and law enforcement bodies for three months of the current year was summed up.
Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the fifth meeting of the Turkmenistan – United Nations Strategic Advisory Council. This meeting marked an important step toward further successfully implementing Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and aimed at developing broad international cooperation. At 7:00 on March 29, 2026, voting began at all 578 polling stations for the election of members of the halk maslahaty of the newly formed etraps, as well as for the place of prematurely drop out of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, members of the velayat, etrap, city halk maslahaty and Gengesh. Voting on the elections will end at 19:00.
