30 buses of mark «Hyundai Aero City» (Republic of Korea), decorated with symbols of the Asian indoor and martial arts games -2017 were launched into service along the routes in Ashgabat. The comfortable public transport with images of the symbol, mascot and brand of the 5th Asian indoor and martial arts games will serve on routes № 8, 9, 34, 37 and 42.

Gold and silver medals were gained by the Turkmen sportsmen in Baku at the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games, which gathered more than 3,000 athletes from 57 countries. Both awards were picked up in the weightlifting competitions. Also the capital of Azerbaijan, in the “Marriott” Hotel, hosted the presentation of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games forthcoming in Ashgabat.

In Ashgabat, a regular meeting of authorized representatives of the Caspian States started its work. The meeting theme, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Service of Maritime and River Transport and the State Enterprise for the Caspian Sea under the President of Turkmenistan, is the approval of the draft Agreement on transport cooperation of the Caspian States. The document was developed by the Turkmen side in compliance with President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov’s initiatives, announced at the Summit of heads of Caspian States, held in 2014 in Astrakhan (Russian Federation).
