Turkmenistan is actively introducing new technologies in the sphere of rendering services to the population. Such another step was the transition to a new electronic payment system, started in September in public transport in Ashgabat.

The second day of belt wrestling competitions of V Asian Games was continued by classic discipline meetings. Our athletes demonstrate good results in this sport.

Foreign diplomats who made large contribution to establishment of trustful relations and expansion of multi aspect cooperation of the states they represented with Turkmenistan are among the guests invited to the opening ceremony of Ashgabat 2017 Games. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vahdat Sultan-zade, who worked in our country as counsellor form 2006 and after, from 2010 to 2015 as a Head of Azerbaijan diplomatic mission, is among them.

Among the many foreign guests who are now staying in the Turkmen capital, there are world-renowned sports stars, including sports idols for many generations such as the legendary hockey players Vladislav Tretiak and the famed figure skater Irina Rodnina.

Ashgabat 2017 Games are ongoing in the Olympic village. Last day was rich for events: the competitions in 11 sports were held where medals were contested in five of them. On the same day, belt wrestling jujitsu and power lifting competitions brought 27 medals including 14 gold one to the collection of our team. It allowed keeping confident leadership of our country in total medal count. By the outcomes of all days of the competitions, our national team has 89 prizes - 43 gold m, 28 silver and 18 bronze medals.

Competitions in the Turkmen national wrestling (goresh), held on September 18 at the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games have already ended. They became a triumph of the National Team of Turkmenistan; our athletes won 23 gold, 14 silver and 9 bronze medals.

Our women won medals of all kinds in the final day of jujitsu competitions.

Substantive questions of the press conference, held in the Olympic village were aimed at strengthening productive relations, improving the efficiency of joint measures on coverage of sports competitions of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

Declaration on Encouragement of valuable contribution of the Refugees Olympic teams to consolidation of peace and human rights initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was unanimously adopted in Geneva, where 36th session of the United Nations Council for Human Rights is held these days.
