In the Mejlis the meeting with representative delegation of Japan at the head of the representative of Organizing Committee of the Olympic, Paralympic Games in Tokyo, the head of Parliamentary Association of Japanese-Turkmen Friendship of Endo Toshiaki who arrived in the Turkmen capital for participation in celebratory actions on the occasion of opening of the 5th Asian indoor and martial arts games took place.

Sport relay of Ashgabat 2017 Games is picking up revolutions. September 18 was very successful for Turkmenistan National team that supplemented the collection of sport achievements of the country with 25 different medals including 13 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze. This achievement improved the leadership of our team in total medal count. By the outcomes of all days, national team has 62 medals including 29 gold, 21 silver and 12 bronze.

President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who has arrived in the Turkmen capital to attend the solemn opening ceremony of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

The 500-day horse relay that started on 5 May 2016 at the walls of Nisa State Historical and Cultural Reserve has finished. Back then not only thousands of our compatriots that gathered at the ancient monument, but also representatives of the Olympic Council of Asia and mass media witnessed the festivities to celebrate the beginning of this grand relay.
