On behalf of the Government and the people of Afghanistan, and on my own behalf, it is with great pleasure that I extend to Your Excellency and the people of Turkmenistan my heartfelt best wishes on the occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, states the letter from the Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah.

On May 17, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held joint session of the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Council of Turkmenistan where topical subjects of the state life were reviewed.

On the occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, hosted a sadaqah and iftar at the specially designated venue at the Halk Hakydasy Memorial Complex.

A festive event took place in the Palace of orphaned children, at which its pupils received sweets on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Representatives of the national parliament, political and public organizations of the country, and the media gathered to participate in the celebration.

The concert of art masters, held on the open stage area of the Turkmen capital, became a creative dedication to the Day of the Constitution and the State Flag of Turkmenistan.

The Day of Constitution and State Flag was observed in Turkmenistan on May 18. Being the symbols of the statehood, the Main Law and green Colour embody unshakeable solidarity of Turkmen people, its invariable commitment to the ideals of peace, humanity and creation.

President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov severely reprimanded Minister of Defense Berdiev Yaylym Yagmyrovich for the improper execution of the official duties, slackening of control over the work of the military personnel under his supervision.

President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution releasing lieutenant-colonel Orazmamedov Rovshen Nazarovich from the post of the Deputy Minister of Defense – the Head of the Main Department of Civil Defense and Rescue Operations of the Ministry of Defense for the serious shortcomings in his work.

In accordance with the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Suhanov Orazdurdy is appointed as the Minister of Motor Transport of Turkmenistan.

In accordance with the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Charyev Orazmuhammet Atadjanovich was appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordon.
