Today, the eleventh session of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the seventh convocation took place, during which a number of new laws and regulatory legal documents were discussed. Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which a number of issues of state life were considered.
By pursuing a foreign policy based on the principles of peacefulness and positive neutrality, Turkmenistan demonstrates a forward-looking approach to developing fruitful cooperation both bilaterally and at the regional, interregional, and global levels. In this regard, our country regularly puts forward initiatives aimed at strengthening mutually beneficial partnerships in various formats. One clear example of this is the traditional relations with neighboring states, with whose peoples the Turkmen people are united by historically established bonds of friendship and brotherhood, as well as shared cultural and spiritual values.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said and the people of the country on the occasion of the National Day of the Sultanate of Oman.
In order to further enhance cooperation between Turkmenistan and the State of Qatar and significantly expand bilateral trade, economic, scientific, technical, and humanitarian relations, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution approving the composition of the Joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Qatari Commission on trade-economic cooperation from the Turkmen side.
On November 18, 2025, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Turkmenistan, Nasser bin Ahmed Al Taher, who presented his credentials to the Head of state.
