On June 8, 2026, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Robert Floyd, the Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).

Expressing his gratitude to the Head of State for taking the time to meet, Robert Floyd highly commended Turkmenistan's foreign policy strategy, which is based on the status of permanent neutrality and aimed at ensuring global peace and security. It was also emphasized that the CTBTO attaches great importance to cooperation with our country.

Warmly welcoming the guest, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty.

Noting that Robert Floyd would participate in a high-level regional conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Treaty's adoption during his visit to Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the CTBTO Executive Secretary fruitful meetings and took the opportunity to congratulate him on this significant milestone.

Expressing his gratitude for the kind words, the guest emphasized that hosting this anniversary celebration in Turkmenistan clearly demonstrates the country's commitment to the ideals of peace.

As the Head of State noted, Turkmenistan, while firmly adhering to its status of permanent neutrality thrice recognized by the international community, consistently implements a foreign policy course aimed at ensuring global and regional security and sustainable development.

In this regard, it was stated that Turkmenistan, as a participant in crucial treaties such as the "Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons," the "Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty," and the "Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in Central Asia," strictly fulfills its commitments. The constructive nature of our country's partnership with the CTBTO was also highlighted.

Expressing confidence that the results of the visit of Robert Floyd, the Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization, will make a significant contribution to strengthening effective cooperation with the CTBTO, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the guest good health and success in his work.
