On June 4, 2026, President Serdar Berdimuhamedow met with Cevdet Yılmaz, Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye and Chairman of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission for Economic Cooperation from the Turkish side, who arrived in Turkmenistan on a visit.

Expressing appreciation for the opportunity of a personal meeting and the hospitality extended, the guest conveyed heartfelt greetings and best wishes from the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to the Head of State, as well as to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.

Warmly welcoming the Vice President of Türkiye, President Serdar Berdimuhamedow wished success for the upcoming ninth meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission for Economic Cooperation. The Head of State expressed confidence that the talks and meetings planned during the visit of the friendly country's delegation would give a new impetus to the activation of bilateral partnership. Taking the opportunity, President Serdar Berdimuhamedow also extended his best wishes to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

As noted, cooperation between Turkmenistan and Türkiye is developing both in a bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations. Regular mutual visits and negotiations conducted by the government delegations of the two countries make a significant contribution to building up the Turkmen-Turkish partnership.

In this regard, President Serdar Berdimuhamedow noted that the participation of the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in the celebrations held on December 12 of last year on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, gave a new impetus to the comprehensive strengthening of the interstate dialogue, which demonstrates a high level.

As emphasized, Turkmenistan and the Republic of Türkiye pay special attention to cooperation in the implementation of advanced technologies and the latest scientific achievements in various industries, as well as the consistent modernization of national economies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, reaffirming the unwavering commitment of Turkmenistan and Türkiye to traditional fraternal relations, President Serdar Berdimuhamedow and Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz expressed confidence that interstate cooperation would continue to develop and strengthen in the interests of the well-being and prosperity of the two countries and peoples, exchanging best wishes.
