In the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, thanks to the support of the President of Turkmenistan, ample opportunities are being created to take domestic cinema to a new level, producing contemporary films and promoting them abroad, including participating in international film festivals in various countries. Films by Turkmen directors participating in such international events are winning prizes. This is confirmed by the results of the Turan International Film Festival, which took place in Izmir, the Republic of Türkiye.

The goal of this international film forum is to strengthen cooperation in cinematography, develop cinematic art, and introduce the global community to the culture of the Turkic peoples. Representatives of the film industries of Turkic and other countries, renowned industry specialists, actors, and experts participated in this festival, demonstrating the establishment of broad cooperation in this area.

The Turan International Film Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye jointly with the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), screened over 2,000 films from over 90 countries. Our country was represented by films produced by the Oguzkhan Türkmenfilm Association of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting, and Cinematography and the Mahabat Directorate, which have received prestigious awards.

Specifically, Batyr Batyrov’s feature film “Ýeňişli ädimler” won the Red Apple Award for Best Feature Film, Mekan Gurbanaliev’s “Mahir terbiýesi” won the Red Apple Award for Best Short Film, and Rovshen Velmiev’s animated film “Meniň oýnum” received the Red Apple Special Jury Prize.

These films left a deep impression on the audience and jury, clearly demonstrating the high level of Turkmen cinematography achieved in recent years thanks to the consistent efforts of Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who created ample opportunities for the development of national culture and art in the country.

It should be noted that, at the initiative of Hero-Arkadag and under his leadership, the cultural and artistic activities of our country, as in other areas, in the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, are carried out in accordance with the demands of the times and in the name of great goals.

Transformations in national culture, as one of the important areas of the country’s development, are focused on the present and future of our people. Having outlined the objectives of cultural reforms, Arkadagly Hero Serdar noted that education and general culture of the population must be raised to a level consistent with international standards, taking into account the national mentality of the people. Thanks to the conditions created, domestic filmmakers are creating remarkable films that deservedly receive international recognition and respect.

The goals of the international festival, organized by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), are to showcase the values of the Turkic world and develop cooperation in this area, as well as to further develop cultural ties between countries.

The main goals of the cultural dialogue are to establish multifaceted cultural ties, promote the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Turkic peoples, their achievements in art and cinema, and encourage broad creative relations.

Thus, the awards bestowed upon Turkmen films at the international film festival held in the Republic of Türkiye clearly demonstrated the international significance of these works of cinema, which vividly capture the creative inspiration of the era of the Revival of a new epoch of the powerful state and the achievements of the Fatherland under the leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar and thanks to the efforts of Hero-Arkadag.
