Today, the Palace of Mukams at the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan hosted a concert dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding composer and founder of Turkmen professional musical art, Veli Mukhatov. The event brought together leading artists of our country as well as cultural figures from the Turkic states.

In the era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, thanks to the initiatives of the Hero-Arkadag and the tireless efforts of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, extensive work is being carried out to develop and promote national culture around the world, intensify cultural dialogue, and expand creative ties with representatives of foreign countries. By spiritually enriching the lives of the people, these efforts inspire citizens to achieve success and reach new heights in every field. Cultural days of various countries, international music and theater festivals, scientific conferences, and forums dedicated to glorious history and national heritage all serve as vivid evidence of the large-scale work being undertaken in this direction.

Culture and art are effective instruments for strengthening ties between countries and peoples in the name of peace, beauty, harmony, prosperity, and shared well-being. Cultural diplomacy, as an integral part of the policy of positive neutrality implemented under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, symbolizes the triumph of peace, friendship, mutual understanding, and humanitarian values, uniting peoples for a brighter future. These principles formed the foundation of today’s program. The concert dedicated to Veli Mukhatov’s anniversary was not merely a musical event; it also held great significance for strengthening cultural ties with friendly nations.

The celebration opened with the symphonic work “Meniň Watanym” (“My Homeland”), performed by the State Symphony Orchestra. Through the language of music, the composition glorified the rapid development of the country, its achievements, and the peaceful and prosperous life of its people.

A prominent place in the program was given to operatic works. Arias from Veli Mukhatov’s operas “Zöhre we Tahyr,” “Kemine we kazy,” and “Ganly Saka” represented magnificent interpretations of Turkmen folk art and history. Performances of Mukhatov’s lyrical songs by artists from brotherly nations symbolized the further strengthening of good-neighborly relations through the great power of music.

The musical composition “Jan, Türkmenistan!”, which sounded like a hymn to the enduring strength of the Motherland - Turkmenistan, the unity of the nation, and the people’s prosperous life, filled the audience with a profound sense of inspiration.

The concert also featured vocal-musical and operatic works from the Turkic states. This symbolized the spiritual unity and shared historical and cultural roots of our brotherly peoples, while also serving as clear evidence of the continued strengthening of cultural cooperation and interstate humanitarian relations.

The song “Aşyklaryň şäheri,” performed by all participants, became a magnificent culmination of the evening, once again affirming the importance of Ashgabat as an international center of peace, love, and friendship.

At the conclusion of the concert, the participants expressed their sincere gratitude to the Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for creating broad opportunities for the in-depth study of Veli Mukhatov’s work and for ensuring that his legacy will be passed on to future generations.

Overall, today’s event demonstrated that the immortal legacy of Veli Mukhatov, as an invaluable treasure of Turkmen musical art, occupies an important place in world culture and plays a significant role in the development of international relations and cultural diplomacy.
