Today, a nationwide tree-planting campaign was held across the country with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The aim of this large-scale environmental initiative, which has become a good tradition, is to transform the beloved Homeland into a flourishing garden and to promote the development of environmental awareness in society.

In the era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, thanks to the initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Hero Arkadag, and under the wise leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, the National Forest Program is being successfully implemented in the country, aimed at ensuring environmental well-being. Special attention is paid to expanding forested areas and preserving biodiversity.

Early in the morning, a festive atmosphere prevailed at the venue. Among the participants were the Chairperson of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads and representatives of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and sectoral departments, as well as heads and staff of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in the country, and members of the general public.

Warmly greeting the participants of the event, the President proceeded to the specially prepared site for planting. A representative of the younger generation asked Arkadagly Hero Serdar to give the start to the campaign.

After planting the first sapling, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov officially launched the tree-planting campaign. The participation of the head of state in this large-scale event, aimed at turning the Homeland into a flourishing land, enhanced its significance and clearly demonstrated the continuity of the traditions of the Turkmen people.

Following the example of Arkadagly Hero Serdar, all participants began planting saplings. The cool mountain air gave everyone a sense of energy and inspiration.

A key emphasis in transforming the country into a flourishing land is placed on a scientific approach. Planting saplings with consideration of soil and climatic conditions ensures their successful growth in the foothill areas. Mass greening of cities and villages creates a comfortable ecological environment. The priority of this noble mission is clearly demonstrated by the systematic expansion of forest zones in the capital and the velayats, which in recent years has become an important factor in ensuring the environmental well-being of the Homeland.

The nationwide tree-planting campaign, contributing to environmental improvement, is of great importance for preserving biodiversity. The unity of the people in implementing this important initiative embodies true patriotism and a respectful attitude toward the country’s natural heritage. This is clear evidence that the present generation are worthily continuing the legacy of their ancestors of living in harmony with the surrounding world.

The regular holding of such campaigns in Turkmenistan makes a significant contribution to ensuring environmental sustainability in the region and to the global community’s efforts to combat climate change.

During the event, along with planting new saplings, maintenance work was carried out on forest areas planted in previous years. Performances by creative groups, celebrating the achievements of the new historical era and the greatness of the native Homeland, inspired particular enthusiasm among the participants.

At the conclusion of the tree-planting campaign, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov warmly bid farewell to the participants and departed the venue.

During the nationwide tree-planting campaign, 611,962 tree saplings were planted across the country. In addition, alongside cleanup and landscaping work in parks and forest zones, maintenance was carried out on a total of 2,024,240 trees.

Thus, the nationwide greening campaign held in the country in the year “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” marking the glorious 35th anniversary of the country’s independence, made a worthy contribution to global efforts to ensure environmental well-being.
