Today, on the threshold of International Women's Day in the Mukam Palace of the State culture centre in honour of women and girls of our fatherland, the festive concert of workers of culture and arts took place.

In Turkmenistan, the respect for women primordially is based on traditions and customs inherited from ancestors who always surrounded women with special respect, equating them to such relics as banner and honour, and honouring them as the main value providing a continuation of offspring and unity of family. These principles adequately proceed under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Today, women in our country are surrounded by special care of the state. Protection of the rights of family, motherhood and childhood, maintenance of gender equality, creation of necessary conditions for work and recreation of women are defined as one of the priority areas of the state policy.

Our hardworking women take an active part in the political life of the country, bringing a weighty contribution to the strengthening of bases of the new historical epoch. The ample opportunities created for participation of women in the political, economic and cultural life of society, are a key indicator of ongoing democratic transformations. Their effective work in state bodies and public organisations, in the private sector and various branches of economy has a great significance in maintenance of sustainable social and economic development of independent neutral Turkmenistan. Besides, by upbringing the physically strong, spiritually rich generation, women also bring their worthy contribution to the construction of the bright future of our beloved fatherland.

As a whole, the humane state policy pursued in our country defines protection of merit of women and maintenance of their happy and safe life as an integral condition of sustainable development for honouring women is a symbol of unity, peace and well-being. Celebration of International Women's Day at the state level in our country, in the atmosphere of high spiritual uplift also clearly attests to the fact. The message of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to women with congratulation and monetary gifts evoke a pride in them. On the occasion of this remarkable holiday, in all corners of our fatherland festive events are held and the festive concert in the Mukam Palace became one of these important actions.

Women from all over the country gathered at the concert. Among them were members of the Government, deputies of the Mejlis, veterans of work, representatives of public organisations, distinguished workers in various branches of economy. Female employees of diplomatic representatives and international structures accredited in Turkmenistan were also invited as guests of honour.

The fine festive concert was opened with the musical-literary composition under the title «Enä tagzym - mukaddeslige tagzym» performed by actors of the Main academic drama theatre of Turkmenistan named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi the Great and united creative folklore groups. Set on motives of the book of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the same title, the composition glorifies our dear mothers and sanctity of women. Along with historical image, modern achievements of women in various spheres were skilfully displayed and sung the glory of Turkmen women with high honour.

The festive concert proceeded with performances of national and honoured artists of Turkmenistan, famous singers, song-musical and folklore groups. On the stage deeply touching songs of tenderness and modesty, nobleness, wisdom, beauty and fidelity of women, and boundless parental love were glorified. Performances became an expression of deep respect and honour for women. In compositions, one could see the fine image of the contemporary women. It even more enriched the maintenance of celebration and evoked a pride in all gathered spectators.

On the magnificent stage of the Mukam Palace along with glorified masters of song and musical art popular young variety artists also performed. As a gift to spectators, they sang the song «Dünýäniň bar görki enedir, ene» in Turkmen, English and Russian languages. The joint performance of this song by variety actors together with the group of children's chorus and ensemble of violinists «Mukam» filled hearts of our dear mothers and grandmothers with the warmest, pure feelings.

In the festive concert along with masters of culture and art, young actors who just begin their path in the world of creativity art also displayed their talent. Children's chorus «Güneş», and children's dancing groups «Şowhun» and «Jahan» prepared a fine musical-dancing gift that became a visible acknowledgement of continuity of national art.

The fine image of Turkmen women takes a special place in national art, literature and cultural heritage. The female beauty is today an inexhaustible source of inspiration for singers and poets. Such songs, which sounded at the concert, as «Owadan sen», «Süýji arzuwlar», «Perizada», «Gara gözleriň», «Arzymanym» also speak of the fact. Along with modern pieces favourite national songs, including «Suw ber, içeli» from the epos «Görogly» and «Gara göz gelin» which were welcomed by a storm of applause of guests, were also performed on the stage.

Accompaniment of the songs with performances of the state dance group of Turkmenistan, dancing groups «Galkynyş», «Meňli», «Serpaý», «Näzli», «Aşgabat», «Ak mermer», joint dancing group of Arkadag city and folklore groups "Laçyn" and «Miras» displayed many-sided nature and harmony of national traditions with new unique areas of modern creativity. By means of dance tenderness, respect and honouring of women were expressed.

Performance of the song «Kalbymda sen», by national actor of Turkmenistan P.Amandurdyev created on words and music of Hero-Arkadag became the most touching and emotional moment of celebration. In this fine work, bright dreams, gentle love and hope for future are sung. The dance group "Näzli" added a special colour to the song.

With big enthusiasm and genuine pleasure, spectators welcomed the dance kushtdepdi performed by joint folklore dance groups of the country. The national dance recognised as value of world culture and included in the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of humanity of UNESCO, became an integral part of national celebrations held in our country.

The fine song «Arkadagymyz, Arkadagly Serdarymyz, saýaňyzda bagtyýardyr eneler became a highlight of the festive concert!», performed by all participants of celebration. It glorified grandiose achievements made under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the basis of great undertakings of Hero-Arkadag for peaceful life of happy women of the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state and further prosperity of our country.
