President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent condolences to President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in connection with the explosion that occurred at a mosque in Islamabad, which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries.

«While strongly condemning any manifestations of terrorism and extremism, Turkmenistan fully supports the efforts of the international community to counter and eradicate this evil», – noted in the message.

On behalf of the people and government of Turkmenistan, as well as on his own behalf, the head of state expressed sincere condolences and conveyed words of support to the families and friends of the victims at this difficult time, and best wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.
