Today, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, welcomed the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon at the International Airport in the capital.

According to the established tradition of hospitality, the leader of the friendly country was presented with bread and salt, as well as flowers.

A meeting between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan then took place at the airport.

Hero-Arkadag thanked the head of the brotherly state Emomali Rahmon for accepting the invitation to the International Forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation, the distinguished guest emphasized the importance of this Forum, which would demonstrate the effectiveness of the foreign policy of independent Turkmenistan, actively working on the international stage to ensure global peace, sustainable development, and constructive cooperation based on trust.

It was noted that the international community is currently celebrating the International Day of Neutrality and the 30th anniversary of the permanently neutral status of independent Turkmenistan. These days, white-marble Ashgabat is welcoming guests arriving to take part in the festivities dedicated to this significant date. The President of Tajikistan, noting that it was a great honor for him to be among the guests, wished successful work to the upcoming large-scale Forum.

During the conversation, key issues of Turkmen–Tajik relations were reviewed, and firm confidence was expressed that bilateral cooperation would continue to develop successfully in all areas of mutual interest.
