Today, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, welcomed the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the International Airport in the capital.

According to the traditions of Turkmen hospitality, the leader of the neighboring country was presented with bread and salt, as well as flowers.

A meeting between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan then took place at the airport.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to meet once again, noting that the regularity of mutual visits testifies to the dynamic nature of the interstate dialogue.

Hero-Arkadag thanked the leader of the neighboring country for accepting the invitation to participate in the International Forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. It was emphasized that this is a sign of the high respect shown by the Republic of Uzbekistan and its brotherly people toward Turkmenistan’s neutrality and toward our people.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude for the invitation, highlighting the importance of the representative Forum to be held in Ashgabat. It was stressed that this Forum would attract international attention and further enhance the authority of Turkmenistan, which pursues a peace-loving policy based on the principles of positive neutrality.

During the conversation, confidence was expressed that fruitful Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation would continue to expand and reach a qualitatively new level.
