Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyyev and velayat hyakims to discuss the development of the agricultural sector and the progress of work in the country’s regions.

The floor was given first to Ahal velayat hyakim T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the region.

As reported, measures are currently being taken to ensure a loss-free cotton harvest, down to the last boll. Furthermore, plowing is underway in the region in preparation for next year’s cotton planting.

In wheat fields where uniform germination has been achieved, vegetation irrigation and mineral fertilizers are being applied.

At the same time, the region is taking the necessary steps to organize and conduct high-level celebrations to mark the 30th anniversary of the country’s permanent neutrality, ensuring an abundance of food in markets and retail outlets during the holidays.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that effective seasonal work facilitates abundant agricultural harvests and high agricultural performance, issuing relevant instructions to the hyakim.

Then, hyakim of Balkan velayat, H. Ashyrmyradov, reported on the progress of the current agricultural campaigns in the region.

As reported, work is currently underway to harvest the remaining cotton bolls and prepare the land for the 2026 cotton sowing.

In accordance with the established objectives of strengthening food abundance in the country, vegetation irrigation and mineral fertilizer application are being carried out on wheat-sown areas in the region.

The hyakim also reported on the ongoing work to organize celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of the country’s permanent neutrality and to ensure markets and stores are supplied with food products during the holidays.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that strict adherence to agricultural standards during seasonal agricultural work is the main condition for the sustainable development of agriculture, giving the hyakim specific instructions in this regard.

Then, the hyakim of Dashoguz velayat, D. Babayev, reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the region.

As reported, necessary measures are being taken to harvest the cotton crop grown in the velayat without losses, using agricultural machinery efficiently.

In addition, plowing and fertilizing are underway in areas allocated for next year’s cotton crop.

Wheat fields have achieved uniform germination.

The hyakim also reported on the steps being taken to prepare for cultural events in the velayat to mark the 30th anniversary of the country’s permanent neutrality and to ensure food abundance in markets and retail outlets during the holidays.

After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan noted the need to conduct ongoing work on agricultural land in accordance with agricultural standards and gave the governor a number of instructions in this regard.

Then, D. Genjiev, hyakim of Lebap velayat, reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the region.

As reported, harvesting and delivery of raw cotton to the state are ongoing, as are plowing of the land cleared after the harvest and applying mineral fertilizers in preparation for next year’s sowing.

In areas sown with wheat, vegetation irrigation and mineral fertilizer application continue.

The hyakim also reported on the measures being taken to prepare for cultural events marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, as well as to ensure a full supply of food products for markets and stores during the holidays.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that strict adherence to agricultural standards in agricultural production promotes not only increased crop yields but also to the efficient use of land and water resources, issuing a number of instructions to the hyakim in this regard. Then, Mary velayat hyakim D. Annaberdiyev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the region.

It was reported that appropriate measures are currently being implemented in the fields to harvest cotton down to the last boll. Particular attention is being paid to the efficient operation of agricultural machinery.

To ensure a bountiful cotton harvest next year, agricultural fields are being plowing.

In the region’s wheat fields, vegetation irrigation and mineral fertilizer application continue.

At the same time, work is underway to harvest sugar beets and ensure their uninterrupted transportation to receiving centers.

The hyakim reported on measures to organize celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of the Fatherland’s permanent neutrality, as well as to ensure markets and retail outlets have sufficient food supplies during the holidays.

Summarizing the report, the head of state identified the priority areas of harvesting cotton to the last boll and ensuring high-quality maintenance of wheat fields in accordance with agricultural standards, issuing specific instructions to the hyakim.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyyev reported on the progress of the country’s current agricultural campaigns.

As noted, cotton harvesting is currently ongoing in the fields of the velayats, down to the last boll.

Agricultural measures, including vegetation irrigation and mineral fertilizer application, are being carried out in areas sown with wheat.

At the same time, plowing is underway for sowing cotton next season.

Appropriate measures are being taken to prepare the equipment that will be used in agricultural campaigns in the coming year.

The necessary measures are also being taken to ensure the sugar beet harvest in Mary velayat is completed on schedule.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the role of agriculture in the national economy as a key sector ensuring food abundance in the country, as well as the need to develop this sector through diversification and the widespread adoption of advanced global practices. He gave the Deputy Prime Minister specific instructions in this regard.

Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state instructed them to take appropriate measures to harvest the cotton harvest down to the last boll, continue to care for the wheat in compliance with agricultural standards, implement weed control measures in a timely manner, ensure vegetation irrigation of the wheat fields, and apply mineral fertilizers to ensure uniform germination.

Regarding next year’s sowing campaign, the President of Turkmenistan instructed that the fields be properly prepared for cotton planting, that plowing schedules be strictly adhered to, that measures be taken to ensure a quick and loss-free harvest of sugar beets in Mary velayat, and that agricultural machinery and equipment that will be used during the spring season be brought into working order.

Furthermore, the head of state ordered that timely payments be made between cotton and wheat producers and service agencies and enterprises in the regions for work completed during this year’s cotton harvest and next year’s wheat harvest, that preparations be made for the celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of the country’s permanent neutrality, that 24-hour security be maintained at institutions and enterprises in the velayats during the holidays, and that markets and stores across the country be stocked with a variety of goods.

At the conclusion of the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants sound health, family well-being, and great success in their work.
