Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov departed for a state visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The head of state was seen off by officials at the International airport of the capital.
The effective foreign policy of independent, neutral Turkmenistan, initiated by Hero-Arkadag and successfully implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, is aimed at strengthening and expanding fruitful cooperation with neighbouring countries in the region. The peoples of these states and the Turkmen people are united by shared cultural and spiritual values, traditions of friendship and mutual support that stretch back centuries.
At the Tashkent airport, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was warmly welcomed by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan are a shining example of good-neighbourliness and strategic partnership in Central Asia. These two fraternal nations, bound by centuries-old shared history, culture, language, and spiritual values, are now becoming even closer.
