Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and velayat hyakims. The agenda included issues related to the development of the agricultural sector and the progress of work in the country’s regions.

The floor was given first to the Ahal velayat hyakim T. Nurmuradov, who reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

As noted, the cotton harvest is currently underway without losses, and necessary measures are being taken to ensure agricultural machinery operates at full capacity. Plowing is also underway in areas designated for next year’s cotton planting.

Irrigation of the wheat fields in the velayat continues in accordance with agricultural standards. Efforts are being made to ensure the uninterrupted operation of heating systems in social and cultural buildings and residential houses.

It was also informed on the progress of construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning this year.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that careful and responsible management of the land as a national treasure enables a bountiful harvest of agricultural crops, and in this regard, he instructed the hyakim to ensure strict adherence to agricultural requirements during seasonal agricultural campaigns.

Then, the hyakim of Balkan velayat, H. Ashyrmyradov, reported on the state of affairs in the region. 

As noted, farmers in the velayat have successfully fulfilled their contractual obligations to deliver “white gold”, and the harvesting of the remaining cotton continues in the velayat’s fields, down to the last boll, without loss. Raw cotton is being delivered to collection points without interruption. Plowing is underway to prepare the fields for next year’s cotton planting.

Necessary measures are being taken to ensure the proper and uninterrupted operation of heating systems at educational, cultural, administrative, public, and residential buildings in the velayat.

Furthermore, it was informed on the progress of construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities scheduled for completion this year.

After hearing the report, the country’s President warmly congratulated the velayat’s farmers on their labor achievements and gave the hyakim a number of specific instructions to ensure strict adherence to agricultural standards during the harvest of cotton, grown thanks to the diligence of farmers, down to the last boll, as well as during wheat care.

Furthermore, the head of state assigned that the quality and deadlines for construction work at various facilities scheduled for completion this year be monitored. The floor was then given to the hyakim of Dashoguz velayat, D.Babayev.

The head of the regional administration informed the President of Turkmenistan of the successful fulfillment of contractual obligations by the velayat’s farmers to deliver the rice harvest to the Motherland’s Garner. He also wished the head of state and Hero-Arkadag good health, long life, and success in their large-scale endeavors for the benefit of the country and its people.

The head of state warmly congratulated the velayat’s rice farmers on their labor victory and wished them continued success in their work.

The hyakim then reported on the progress of the seasonal agricultural campaigns in the velayat. 

As noted, necessary measures are currently being taken to harvest the cotton crop without losses. Particular attention is being paid to ensuring that agricultural machinery operates at full capacity and that collection points operate smoothly. Furthermore, plowing of the lands allocated for cotton cultivation is underway. Wheat sowing has been completed in the velayat, with uniform crops emerging in the sown fields.

In accordance with the commissions of the President of Turkmenistan, efforts are being made to ensure the proper operation of heating systems in social and cultural buildings and residential buildings in the region.

Progress on the construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities scheduled for completion in the velayat this year was also reported.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of adhering to agricultural standards during agricultural work and improving farming practices, giving the governor a number of specific instructions.

The head of state also ordered that the quality of construction work at various facilities scheduled for commissioning in the velayat this year be monitored.

Then, the Lebap velayat hyakim D.Genjiev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

As noted, the region’s cotton fields are harvesting without losses. Raw cotton is continuously arriving at collection points and ginning plants. Furthermore, plowing has begun in preparation for the 2026 sowing season.

Wheat crops are also being tended, including watering and fertilizing. The rice harvest and its delivery to the Motherland’s garner continue without losses.

Necessary measures are also being taken to ensure the proper operation of heating systems at enterprises, social and cultural buildings, and residential buildings in the velayat.

The hyakim reported on the progress of construction work at social, cultural, and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning this year.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of harvesting cotton – a valuable raw material for the processing industry – without losses, as well as proper care of the wheat, and issued relevant assignments to the hyakim.

Then, the hyakim of Mary velayat, D. Annaberdiev, reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the region. 

It was reported that the cotton harvest is currently underway, down to the last boll. Particular attention is being paid to the efficient use of seasonal combines and other equipment. Meanwhile, plowing is underway in the region to prepare the land for next year’s cotton harvest.

Wheat care, including irrigation and mineral fertilizer application, is underway on agricultural lands in the velayat.

Sugar beet harvesting is also underway in the region.

Efforts are currently underway to ensure the uninterrupted operation of heating systems in educational, cultural, administrative, public buildings, and residential buildings in the velayat.

Furthermore, the hyakim reported on the progress of construction work at socio-cultural and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning this year. 

After hearing the report, the head of state instructed the hyakim to take the necessary measures to harvest the cotton harvest to the last boll, as well as to maintain the wheat fields in accordance with agricultural deadlines and requirements. 

Furthermore, the President ordered that the quality and timing of construction projects scheduled for commissioning in the region this year be monitored. Deputy Prime Minister T.Atahalliyev then reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the country.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the role of the agricultural sector in the country’s economy, noting that scientifically based approaches and strict adherence to agricultural standards in production enable a bountiful harvest of agricultural crops, and he gave the Deputy Prime Minister specific instructions in this regard.

Addressing the meeting participants, the head of state reiterated the importance of ongoing seasonal work and, in this regard, instructed the regions to harvest cotton down to the last boll, as well as to maintain wheat fields in accordance with agricultural standards. 

Noting the need to pay special attention to fully preparing cotton fields for the 2026 sowing season in the regions, the President ordered that the land be plowing be carried out in accordance with agricultural schedules and requirements, that the rice harvest be harvested without losses as quickly as possible in Lebap velayat, and that the sugar beet harvest be commenced in Mary velayat. 

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed that payments between cotton and wheat producers and service organizations and enterprises be strictly monitored, that livestock farms be provided with the required amount of feed for the winter, and that the preparation of livestock wintering sites be closely monitored. Focusing on the approaching winter season, the head of state ordered the uninterrupted operation of heating systems in the regions and strict oversight of the construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities.

Concluding the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants good health, family well-being, and great success in their work.
