During his working visit to the United States of America, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with John Reese, CEO of Nicklaus Companies.

Expressing sincere gratitude for the opportunity to discuss priority areas of cooperation in person, the head of the American company expressed confidence that the current visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the USA will give new impetus to the development of bilateral relations.

Warmly welcoming the head of the company, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the upcoming Turkmen-American business forum within the framework of the visit would provide a good opportunity for representatives of the business circles of two countries to exchange views on promising projects and investment cooperation.

As noted, Turkmenistan considers the development of sports and tourism to be important areas of sustainable development.

John Reese, in turn, emphasized that the developed sports infrastructure created in Turkmenistan proves the great importance attached to this sphere, and today neutral Turkmenistan, actively promoting the ideals of sport, acts as an Ambassador of peace.

Noting the vast experience and high standing of Nicklaus Companies, one of the world’s leaders in the design and development of golf infrastructure, the Head of Turkmenistan emphasized the existence of good opportunities for bilateral partnership in this area.

 In this regard, a successful example of mutually beneficial cooperation is the modern golf club built in Ashgabat, which meets international standards.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to providing favorable investment climate for foreign partners, confirming the Turkmen side’s readiness to consider new projects and proposals from the well-known American company.

At the end of the meeting, the Head of state expressed confidence in the expansion of cooperation with Nicklaus Companies, aimed at promoting the development of golf infrastructure and popularizing this sport in Turkmenistan, and wished John Reese further success in his work.
