President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent sincere congratulations and best wishes to Organisation of United Nations General-Secretary António Guterres on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the UN.

«Over the past eighty years, the UN has become a key hub for uniting efforts aimed at ensuring peace, security, and sustainable development. The important documents adopted by the Organisation and the initiatives implemented form a solid foundation for modern international relations», –the head of state emphasised in his message.

One of Turkmenistan's foreign policy priorities is long-term cooperation with the Organisation of United Nations in areas such as peace and security, energy, transport and communications, the environment, and sustainable development. The head of state noted that Turkmenistan will continue to develop and strengthen its multifaceted cooperation with the Organisation of United Nations.

Taking this opportunity, the President of Turkmenistan addressed António Guterres with heartfelt wishes for good health, happiness, and prosperity, and also conveyed warm congratulations and best wishes for continued success to the staff of the UN Secretariat.
