A celebratory parade dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence began in front of the State Tribune Complex in Ashgabat.

Early in the morning, a flower-laying ceremony took place at the Independence Monument of Turkmenistan. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, leaders and representatives of the government, parliament, public organisations, political parties, elders, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Ashgabat, and foreign guests participated in the ceremony.
