Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atahalliyev and khyakims of the velayats to consider the state of affairs in the agricultural sector and regions of the country.

The first to speak was the khyakim of the Ahal velayat T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the pace of seasonal work in agriculture.

As reported, wheat care is currently underway in the fields of the region, as well as preparation for the collection of seed grain for subsequent proper storage.

In turn, inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding are carried out in the areas sown with cotton with the effective use of specialized equipment.

At the same time, the region has begun an organized process of handing over cocoons obtained during the harvesting season to collection points.

It was also reported on the preparations for the ceremonial events on the occasion of the Constitution and State Flag Day of Turkmenistan.

After hearing the information, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to ensure the proper implementation of field work in accordance with agricultural technology standards, which is the main factor in the effective management of agriculture.

Then, the khyakim of the Balkan velayat H. Ashyrmyradov made a report on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

It was reported that care and watering continue on agricultural lands sown with wheat. Along with this, preparations are underway for the collection of seed grain and its proper storage in accordance with established requirements.

In the areas after sowing cotton, charging irrigation is carried out, and in areas where shoots have appeared, inter-row cultivation, weeding and thinning are carried out. At all stages, the appropriate agricultural machinery is used at full capacity. During the cocoon harvesting season, efforts are being made to properly care for silkworm eggs.

The head of the regional administration also reported on the pace of preparations for the festive celebrations on the occasion of the Constitution and State Flag Day of Turkmenistan.

Summarizing the report, the head of state ordered to ensure high-quality completion of current work in the fields with the effective use of the necessary specialized equipment.

Then, the khyakim of the Dashoguz velayat D. Babayev reported on the dynamics of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As reported, the care of wheat crops, including irrigation, is carried out in accordance with agro-technical standards. In addition, preparations are underway for the collection of seed grain and its further storage in accordance with established requirements.

At the same time, the processing of cotton plots continues – inter-row cultivation, weeding and thinning, while agricultural machinery is used at full capacity. Rice planting is proceeding according to plan, and plowing, leveling, and watering are being carried out in the areas designated for sowing.

These days, the tenant silk growers are making every effort to care for the rice paddies in order to successfully complete the harvesting season.

It was also informed on preparations for the organized holding of cultural events on the occasion of the Constitution and State Flag Day of Turkmenistan.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to ensure strict compliance with the requirements of agricultural science in caring for agricultural crops, especially wheat and cotton, which require special attention.

Then the working meeting continued with a report by the khyakim of the Lebap velayat M. Annanepesov on the progress of current seasonal work on the agricultural coals of the region.

It was noted that the care of wheat crops is carried out in accordance with agricultural technology standards. Reception points intended for storing seed grain in accordance with established requirements are in a state of readiness. Along with this, everything necessary is being done to bring agricultural machinery to proper operational condition, which will be used in the grain harvesting campaign. In order to ensure proper vegetation of cotton, inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding are carried out in the sown areas, while agricultural machinery is effectively used.

At the same time, the head of the regional administration informed that the collection of prepared silkworm cocoons is in the final stage.

It was also reported about the systematic preparation for cultural and mass events on the occasion of the Constitution and State Flag Day of Turkmenistan, which will ensure their implementation at a high organizational level.

Summarizing the report, the head of state emphasized the importance of high-quality care for wheat and cotton, giving relevant instructions in this regard.

Further, the khyakim of the Mary velayat B. Orazov reported on the pace of current seasonal agricultural work.

As reported, care is being carried out on the lands sown with wheat. Along with this, everything necessary is being done to prepare for the collection of seed grain and its subsequent storage in accordance with the established requirements. In turn, inter-row cultivation, weeding and thinning are carried out in the cotton fields, while agricultural machinery and units are effectively used.

At the same time, the region continues to collect prepared silkworm cocoons and subsequently hand them over to the state.

In addition, efforts are being made to properly prepare for the upcoming ceremonial events on the occasion of the Constitution and State Flag Day of Turkmenistan.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of high-quality and organized completion of seasonal campaigns on agricultural lands in the region, including those sown with wheat and cotton. Noting also the need for effective use of appropriate agricultural machinery, the head of state addressed a number of instructions to the khyakim.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev made a report on the pace of work in the country’s agricultural sector. As reported, the fields sown with wheat are currently being tended according to agro-technical standards. In addition, measures are being taken to prepare for the collection of seed grain and its proper storage in the future.

At the same time, vegetation irrigation is being carried out in the areas sown with cotton, and in the areas where shoots have been obtained, inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding with the effective use of agricultural machinery and units are being carried out.

Along with this, rice is being planted in the Dashoguz velayat according to plan.

As for the silkworm cocoon harvesting season, the Balkan and Dashoguz velayats are caring for the silkworm cocoons. In turn, the collection of cocoons continues in the Ahal, Lebap and Mary regions.

Against the backdrop of rising air temperatures in forest areas, pastures and lands of the country, measures are being taken to create firebreaks, in particular, clearing and plowing of territories, is being carried out in order to prevent the occurrence of fires.

Summarizing the information presented, the head of state drew attention to the important role of agriculture in the structure of the national economy as an industry that maintains food abundance in the country and provides raw materials for the processing industry.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also noted the need to ensure sustainable development of the agricultural sector, scaling up the introduction of new technologies and the latest scientific achievements into the production segment. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister was given a number of instructions.

Addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state ordered to keep under constant control the care of cotton, in particular, inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding of sown areas, and to take appropriate measures for the effective use of equipment and units during the work. 

At the same time, it was instructed to ensure the care of wheat in accordance with the requirements of agricultural technology, as well as comprehensively prepare for the collection, transportation and subsequent storage of seed grain. 

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of completing rice planting in the Dashoguz velayat according to a certain schedule, proper care of the grains and the fulfillment of the plan for the procurement of silkworm cocoons in the regions as a whole. 

Along with this, the head of state noted the need to ensure timely mutual settlements for the work done between cotton and grain producers and service departments and enterprises. Separate instructions concerned control over measures to prevent fires in forest areas, pastures and lands, the risk of which increases in the summer, as well as preparations for the upcoming ceremonial events in the regions on the occasion of the Constitution and State Flag Day of Turkmenistan.

Concluding the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants good health, family well-being and great success in their work.
