On April 29, 2025, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the advisor to the Prince of Monaco, president and founder of the organization "Peace and Sport" Joel Bouzou.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to meet, the guest said that he was glad to be on the ancient and hospitable Turkmen land during the widely celebrated National Day of the Turkmen Horse and cordially congratulated the National Leader of the Turkmen people on this event, conveying warm words of greeting and best wishes from Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Stephanie.

Joel Bouzou stressed that the Principality of Monaco highly values Turkmenistan’s peacekeeping foreign policy, based on the legal status of permanent neutrality.

Having expressed gratitude for the congratulations and kind words, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan expressed his best wishes to Prince Albert II and Princess Stephanie.

Once again congratulating the National Leader of the Turkmen people on the success of the National Equestrian Games Group "Galkynyş", created on the initiative of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, at the 47th International Festival of Circus Arts held in Monte Carlo (Monaco) in January of this year, Joel Bouzou placed special emphasis on the high level of Turkmen circus arts.

The interlocutors noted with satisfaction that relations between Turkmenistan and the Principality of Monaco are built on the principles of equality and mutual respect, and emphasized the advisability of establishing bilateral cooperation in the political, trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

In this context, Joel Bouzou confirmed the readiness of the organization he heads to develop cooperation with Turkmenistan in the sports sphere.

The guest also noted that he warmly recalls the visits of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the Vice President for Medical Activities of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after  Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Principality of Monaco. Confidence was expressed that the high-level meetings held during the visits will enrich bilateral relations with new content.

At the end of the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished the advisor to the Prince of Monaco, president and founder of the organization "Peace and Sport" Joel Bouzou good health and success in his work.
