On March 13, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, who was on a working visit to Japan at the invitation of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to participate in the III United Nations World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, met with Emperor Akihito and representatives of business and scientific-educational communities of the Land of the Rising Sun.

On March 11, the Turkmen capital hosted the talks between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani, who had arrived in our country on a state visit the day before.

On March 5, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Army General Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov convened a meeting of the State Security Council to sum up outcomes of this year’s two-month activity of the military and law-enforcement bodies and define tasks for further improvement and strengthening of material and technical base of the agencies.
