Certificate and prize award ceremony to new Turkmenbashi port by the experts of different organizations took place at international transport forum held in Avaza.

Speaking at International Forum “The Great Silk Road: Towards New Frontiers of Development”, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov encouraged activation of the discussion of various aspects of the construction of transport corridor Afghanistan – Turkmenistan – Azerbaijan – Georgia - Turkey.

When considering the issues of cooperation in the transport and logistics sphere, Turkmenistan attaches particular importance to the active participation of the United Nations in this work. Putting forward the initiative to establish a global dialogue on the transport issues, speaking during the International Forum “The Great Silk Road – towards new heights of development”, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that we proceeded from the fact that today it was directly linked to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Speaking during the International forum “The Great Silk Road: Towards New Frontiers of Development”, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the new sea port in the strategically important Caspian region provides a large platform for enhancing interregional cooperation, increasing the volumes and improving the quality of transportation, and contributes to establishing the new configuration of the transportation flow.

Turkmenistan is ready for substantive negotiations across all aspects of cooperation and use of the Turkmenbashi port by the landlocked countries of the region, said President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the International Forum “The Great Silk Road: Towards News Frontiers of Development”.

Speaking at the International Forum “The Great Silk Road: Towards New Frontiers of Development”, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov outlined Turkmenistan’s priorities in international partnership in the field of transport and communication.

The President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, addressed the International Forum “The Great Silk Road: Towards New Frontiers of Development” that is being held at the Avaza Congress Hall in Turkmenbashi.

Representatives of foreign countries, international organizations and major transport and logistics companies were brought together in Turkmenbashi at the International Forum “The Great Silk Road: Towards New Frontiers of Development”.

Under the work trip to Balkan Velayat, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held offsite session of the Cabinet of Ministers where the fulfilment of the programme of the President and priority aspects of economic and social development of Balkan Velayat as well as topical issues of home policy of the state have been reviewed.

The Head of the State was met by the officials at Turkmenbashy International Airport. Honoured elders presented the bread and salt. The elders expressed the gratitude to the Head of the State for permanent care of the improvement of the wellbeing and life level of Turkmenistan citizens and wished him strong health and new successes in his activity for the sake of the country as well as congratulated the Head of the State on coming opening of International Seaport in Turkmenbashy.
