Speaking during the VIII session of the International Ahelteke Horse Breeding Association, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on the moments that illustrate the stages of conducted work, including the exchange of experience and the establishment of new information channels to promote the Turkmen horse breeding at the world arena and upgrade the qualification of Turkmen specialists in this sphere.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highly assessed the contribution of the Galkynysh group of the national equestrian games into the world popularization of Ahalteke horses. The renowned group took part in the prestigious international Circus Art festivals in Moscow (the Russian Federation), Latina (Italy), Zhuhai (the People’s Republic of China) and won the grand prizes and gold cups.

“Opening the International Ahalteke Horse Breeding Association, we have laid the solid foundation to preserve the pure Ahalteke horse breed and increase the number of Ahalteke horses in the world”, emphasized President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov speaking during the VIII session of the Association.

VIII session of International Ahalteke Equestrian Associations started work in Ashgabat. The agenda of the meeting, which is traditionally held before the Day of Turkmen Horse, includes the subjects of development of horse breeding and sports and objectives of this organization.

Continuing the state visit to Uzbekistan, Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov accompanied by his Uzbek colleague Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Khiva located on the left bank of Amudary River in the south of Khoresm Region.

The program of the second day of the Turkmen leader’s visit to Uzbekistan includes the opening ceremony of the Turkmen–Uzbek House of Friendship in the city of Urgench, and a tour around historical and cultural sites in Khiva.
