At the session of the Government on August 17, Vice-premier G. Myradov informed on initial draft of the Programme of the President of Turkmenistan on social and economic development of the country in 2019 – 2025 developed together with the ministries, departments and hyakimliks of Ashgabat and velayats.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, having assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management to sow the wheat around the country and produce the production of the yield in relevant volume based on the contracts with farming associations, agricultural facilities, farmers and landlords together with the hyakimliks of the velayats. In general, it is planned to allocate 760 hectares of land for winter crops and produce 1,600,000 tons of grain in 2019.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, having assigned the Office of the President of Turkmenistan together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to hold the Summit of the Heads of the States – the founders of the International Fund for Saving of Aral Sea (IFAS) in Avaza National tourist zone on August 24.

Information about preparation to the state visit of President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov to Turkmenistan next week has been presented at the session of the Government on August 1. It was informed that the agenda of high-level talks would include wide spectrum of objectives of interstate relations, which traditionally have friendly character. It is planned to sign the number of bilateral documents by the outcomes of the visit aimed at the bringing of Turkmen – Kyrgyz cooperation to new levels.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is currently on a working trip to Balkan velayat, has received Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-US Business Council Eric Stewart and President of OSI Systems and S2 Global Jonathan Fleming.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid working visit to Sochi, the Russian Federation where he had meeting with President Vladimir Putin. The Head of the State has been seen off by the officials at the Ashgabat International Airport.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed his condolences to President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella over the deaths and numerous injuries in the bridge collapse in Genoa.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held the session with the participation of the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of number of military and law enforcement agencies in International Airport of Turkmen capital before he left for working visit to Sochi, the Russian Federation.

August 12, 2018 became indeed historical date. After twenty years of talks, Caspian states adopted the Convention on Legal Status of Caspian Sea this day, which has already been named as the Caspian Constitution.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a regular video-conference meeting. The meeting agenda focused on the priority tasks of the socio-economic development, the preparatory work for the forthcoming festive dates and the other important issues.
