Cooperation in trade and economics was named one of the important tasks for Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan at the talks between President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Sooronbay Jeenbekov, attended by the members of the Government delegations of the two countries.

Ensuring coherent Central Asian approach towards water and energy issues was outlined as one of the important aspects of regional cooperation at Turkmen-Kyrgyz summit talks in Ashgabat.

The Oguzhan Palace in Ashgabat hosted Turkmen-Kyrgyz summit talks. Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Sooronbay Jeenbekov first met one-on-one, then the talks continued in expanded format, with the members of the official delegations of the two countries.

On August 23, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov begins a state visit to Turkmenistan at President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s invitation.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular working video conference session with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers supervising agricultural sector as well as with the hyakims of velayats and Ashgabat city.
