President of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov sent a congratulatory message to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the Turkmen capital.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the High-Level Global Roundtable on Extractive Industries as an Engine for Sustainable Development, held online by United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.
On the Day of Ashgabat and 140th anniversary of the capital, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the events on occasion of ground-breaking ceremony of big residential complex Ashgabat City and opening of new complex of double-store houses built in the northern part of Ashgabat.
“During the years of independence, Ashgabat has radically changed and transformed. We invest significant funds to transform the Turkmen capital into one of the most prosperous cities in the world. In our white-marble city, where the most advanced practices, engineering and technical solutions are successfully combined with the traditions of national architecture, we implement large-scale programmes,” President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said in his congratulatory Address on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat.
On the occasion of the end of the 2020-2021 academic year and the Day of Farewell Bell, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed a congratulatory message to secondary school graduates, teachers and all employees of the education system of Turkmenistan.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the celebration of the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat, at which number of subjects of the state life has been reviewed.
By the Resolution of the Mejlis of National Assembly of Turkmenistan, President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the People’s Council of National Assembly of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was awarded with title of Honored Citizen of Ashgabat.
“I cordially congratulate you on the beginning of the XX International Universal Exhibition “White City of Ashgabat ”! The annual celebration of the Day of Ashgabat on May 25 has become one of the unforgettable events for the residents of the Turkmen capital. Traditionally, an international exhibition is held in honor of this significant date. I am convinced that it will be of great importance in strengthening international partnership and exchange of experience,” President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov says in his welcoming address.
A round table was held at the Institute of International Relations on the occasion of declaring May 25, 2021 as the Day of the Sister City of Ashgabat in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. The event was attended by the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan Matthew Stephen Klimow.
Meeting between Vice-premier, Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Vice-premier, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Relations of Saint Petersburg Eugene Grigoryev and Director of Vozrozhdeniye Group of Project and Construction Companies Igor Bukato, who arrived in our country, has been held in Ashgabat.
