Turkmen – Uzbek high-level extended talks with the participation of official delegations of two countries have started in Kuksaroy Residence, Tashkent. Prior the talks, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev had one-on-one meeting.

The official welcome ceremony was held for the Turkmen leader at Kuksaroy State Residence in Tashkent.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in the Republic of Uzbekistan on a two-day state visit. In honour of the distinguished guest, the Guard of Honour formed up in Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport, decorated with the flags of the two states.

The official visit of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Uzbekistan starts on April 23.

Session of Turkmenistan National Olympic Committee General Assembly was held in Ashgabat. The agenda of the meeting included organizational issues, reports of accomplished work for the last years and plans of future development of Olympic movement.

Visitors of Berkarar Shopping centre were the witnesses of demonstration performance of martial arts masters. The event where the fighters of various age groups took part was organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of Turkmenistan.

The result of the trades of the State Commodity and Raw Materials exchange of Turkmenistan was 134 transactions.

Expanding close and multidimensional ties with closest neighbors is a key goal of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy. As part of Turkmenistan’s Foreign Policy Framework for 2017-2023, highest priority is accorded to partnerships with countries of the region in accordance with the principles of mutual understanding and trust which serves as a main factor of preserving and consolidating peace and security in Central Asia. Turkmenistan therefore consistently develops relations of good-neighborliness and mutually beneficial cooperation with nations of the region both on bilateral level and within reputable international organizations, primarily the United Nations.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular session of the Cabinet of Ministers where issues of home and foreign policy have been discussed. Speaking of the importance of the subjects of the agenda of the current meeting, the Head of the State focused on coming events related with the Day of Turkmen Horse and opening of Turkmenbashy International Seaport.
