Today, the capital has hosted the Inter-Parliamentary Forum of countries of Central Asia and the Russian Federation, an initiator of organization of which is Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The flower-laying ceremony at the Monument to the Constitution of Turkmenistan took place before the Forum.

Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan has hosted a joint meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on the implementation of international obligations of Turkmenistan in the field of human rights and international humanitarian law and UN country team with participation of representatives of the Halk Maslakhaty and Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, a number of ministries, sectoral departments, public organizations and international missions accredited to our country.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system, having reviewed the results of work of the sectors of national economy for four months of the current year, and considered a number of issues related to ensuring the well-being of the people of the country.

For the purpose of further reforming the country’s agricultural sector in the Era of the Revival of a New Epoch of a Powerful State, increasing the volume of agricultural products produced, as well as ensuring the cultivation of generous rice harvests, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Decree “On rice production in Turkmenistan in 2022”. According to the document, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, the khyakimliks of Dashoguz and Lebap velayats are commissioned, using a scientifically based crop rotation, in accordance with the requirements of agricultural technology, to ensure the production of a rich rice harvest in the etrap named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi of Dashoguz velayat, in Darganata, Dyanev, Chardjev, Farab, Sayat, Khalach, Khojambaz, Kerki etraps, Dovletli etrap and Koytendag etrap of Lebap velayat.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has made a working trip to Akhal region, during which he got familiarized himself with the course of construction of the new modern administrative centre of the given region as well as held a visiting extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov made a working trip around the capital, being acquainted with the progress of work carried out on the territory of the Makhtumkuli Fragi cultural and park complex, the construction of which is in the final stage.

Today, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a solemn conference dedicated to awarding Ashgabat an International Certificate for assistance and contribution to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Trees in Cities Challenge through landscaping actions. The forum was attended by representatives of international organizations working in Turkmenistan, teachers and students of higher educational institutions of the country, as well as employees of domestic mass media.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an online working meeting with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the agricultural sector and velayats’ khyakims. Issues related to the implementation of tasks arising from the program of socio-economic development of the regions and the course of seasonal agricultural campaigns were submitted for consideration.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, at the invitation of Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida, took part digitally in the Fourth Asia-Pacific Water Summit (APWS).
