Political and socio-economic developments in the Central Asian region are occupying an increasing role and exerting a growing influence on the shape of the world order. The speech which was delivered by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the State Council on September 23, 2022 has been an important indication of this trend.

In order to improve the domestic sports sphere in the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, increase the global authority of Turkmen sports, as well as the broad involvement of the country’s population in sports, further dissemination of the principles of a healthy lifestyle through the Sports, Athletic and Olympic movement, I decree:

Special importance in the socio-economic strategy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov is attached to the rational use of water resources as an important factor in dynamic development of the agro-industrial complex, environment preservation, and improving the social and living standards of the people of Turkmenistan.

The events of the past week serve as clear evidence of the effectiveness of the constructive strategy implemented by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov aimed at maintaining political and economic stability, strengthening the culture of peace and trust in the regional and global dimensions, ensuring the prosperous life of the people, and forming a reliable basis for the prosperity of the Motherland with a long-term perspective.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to discuss some issues of the state life.

Today, the state visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Kazakhstan has taken place and within its framework, the high-level bilateral talks, which became an important step towards further development of interstate relations based on a firm foundation of friendship, brotherhood, good neighbourhood and principles of equal mutually beneficial cooperation, took place in Astana.

Today, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, the honored elder of the people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the Akhal Velayat to get acquainted with the progress of work at construction sites in the new administrative center of the region.

The fuel and energy complex is the basic sector of the national economy, which plays a significant role in the strategy implemented by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to industrialize the country on an innovative basis, digitally transform the national economic complex, solve issues in the field of import substitution, and expand the export opportunities of the Motherland.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov convened an enlarged session of the Cabinet of Ministers to sum up the results of the activities of the branches of the national economic complex for the first nine months of 2022, and discuss the progress of the implementation of the Presidential and other programs of socio-economic development of the country.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov left on a working visit to the Russian Federation, where he took part in an informal meeting of the heads of state of the Commonwealth of Independent States held in St. Petersburg.
