Decree of the President of Turkmenistan on the celebration of Oraza bayramy and the transfer of the day off on the occasion of the National spring holiday

In order to further strengthen the unity, harmony and cohesion of our people in the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, respect for centuries-old traditions and customs, the preservation of our spiritual wealth, the creation of favourable conditions for citizens to solemnly celebrate Oraza bayramy and the National spring holiday and comfortable rest, and also in accordance with Article 81 of the Labour code of Turkmenistan, I decree:

Hold the National holiday of the Turkmen people – Oraza bayramy – on the 20th of March, 2026.

Move the day off, 22nd of March, to 23rd of March, 2026 – Monday.

All institutions, enterprises and organisations, regardless of their form of ownership, shall ensure the implementation of this Decree.
