Today, the song and music center “Ashgabat” hosted a concert of masters of arts dedicated to the Constitution Day and State Flag Day of Turkmenistan.
This significant nationwide holiday, which unites the Day of Adoption of the Basic Law—the foundation of our statehood—with the Day of the Sacred Flag of the sovereign Homeland, stands as a testament to the affirmation of national unity and the humanistic values of the people.
The majestic symbols of the nation—the unshakable Basic Law and the Flag proudly flying under the skies—visibly embody the glorious heritage of past days, the well-being of the present, and hope for the future, becoming the embodiment of cohesion, boundless pride and high dignity of the people.
“Under the shade of the green Flag, relying on the Basic Law, which incorporates national and global practices of state and political organization, as well as universal values, we continue the democratization of the state and public life of our country. At the same time, we are successfully carrying out large-scale reforms for the happy life of our native people, the well-being, and prosperity of the sovereign Homeland,” notes the Address of the Head of State to the people on the occasion of the holiday.
Against the backdrop of the glittering lights of evening Ashgabat, a colorful festive event unfolded on the open stage in the southern part of the city, gathering a multitude of enthusiastic spectators.
It is highly symbolic that talented representatives of national culture, whose art serves as an important bridge carrying ideas of peace and friendship across borders, contribute their unique colors to the vibrant palette of popularizing the successes and achievements of the independent Homeland. In the modern world, cultural diplomacy is a powerful tool for strengthening international ties and expanding the boundaries of interstate cooperation.
The concert opened with the literary and musical composition “Başym gurban bolsun Türkmenistana, başym gurban Arkadagly Serdara, başym gurban parlap duran tuguma, başym gurban bolsun Arkadagyma!” which became an emotional anthem of love and devotion to Turkmenistan, pride in the national Flag, performed with heartfelt sincerity by artists expressing their readiness to dedicate themselves to serving the Homeland. Combining the arts of words, song, music, and dance, this meaningful mini-performance set the tone for the entire celebration. The concert, launched on this high note, continued with original performances presented by popular vocalists and musicians, well-known choreographic and folk ensembles.
The audience greeted with special enthusiasm the song “Türkmen baýdagy,” passionately performed by soloists and the choir of the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory. The hall filled with the solemn sounds of the song “Alkyşnama,” which conveyed the depth of love for the Homeland and pride in its achievements. Numerous spectators warmly applauded the original compositions by the country’s musical groups.
The festive mood was further enhanced by the performance “Alkyş aýdýas Arkadagly Gahryman Serdarymyza” by the dutarist-bakhshi ensemble of the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory. A heartfelt immersion into the richness of Turkmen folk art was offered by young talents from the children’s folk groups “Şowhun” and “Serpaý.” Their pure sound and the sincerity of the touching composition “Nagmalar” filled the hall with bright joy, conveying all the beauty and uniqueness of national folklore.
The Honored Artists enthusiastically performed patriotic songs, among which the compositions “Parla, ýaşyl baýdagym!” and “Ýaşyl tugumyz hem Baş Kanunymyz” sounded especially moving, filling the hall with a sense of pride and unity. From the stage came inspiring melodies and poetic lines of the song “Arkadagyň parasady, paýhasy – parahatlyk, ynanyşmak binýady,” in which the artists praised the wisdom of the Hero-Arkadag, whose foresight laid a solid foundation for peace and harmony in the country.
The culmination of the celebration was the ancient dance kushtdepdi, connecting the thread of times and serving as a symbol of the richest cultural heritage of the Turkmen people. Today, this dance acquires a new, modern meaning, which was masterfully demonstrated by the folk group “Miras.” The concert program concluded with the song “Parahatlyk, ynanyşmak şuglasy, baky belentdedir tugy, tugrasy” — a musical symbol of the era of great transformations.
Bright celebrations in honor of Constitution Day and State Flag Day were held in all cities and villages of the country. The hearts of the people were united by the song and music compositions heard everywhere, glorifying the independent Homeland, its unity, and its bright future.
