Today, the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev hosted celebrations in honour of the National holiday of the Turkmen horse with participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and in the framework of the festive events winners of the International competition «Ýylyň iň owadan ahalteke bedewi» and thematic competition among representatives of creative workers were awarded.

Thanks to noble undertakings of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag and indefatigable efforts of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the glory and a great prestige of «heavenly» horses, which are a national pride, increases. Akhal-teke horses were in all times a national property, a symbol of consent of the Turkmen hearth and an ornament of magnificent weddings. Differed with their playfulness, beauty and fidelity horses became ­ «wings» of our people and an invaluable property of the nation. Akhal-teke horses were always and remain a special pride and a source of inspiration. Unsurpassed beauty of horses are highly appreciated in the world.

Throughout centuries, our ancestors created national traditions of cultivation of fleet-footed Akhal-teke horses, which have remained up to now and proceed adequately and enriched with masters-horse breeders and horse grooms. At present, the art of Turkmen horse breeding and grooming assume a new stage of development and the material- technical basis of the sector grows stronger.

In the country, program measures are implemented to develop horse breeding and to get recognized internationally Akhal-teke horses. The special attention is given to maintenance of the given sphere with highly skilled professionals. Necessary work is carried out to train skilled horse breeders, grooms, jockeys and other experts in this area and increase their qualification. The special attention is given to continuation and enrichment of age-old traditions of art of horse breeding on the basis of modern technologies.

… Early in the morning, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev erected in the picturesque corner of the Kopet Dagh.

There, the Chairwoman of the Mejlis, Deputy-Chairmen of the Cabinet, heads of ministries and departments, military and law enforcement bodies of the country, the city administration of Arkadag, welcome the head of the state. Among participants of the celebration - heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan and international organisations, notable horse breeders and workers of the sector.

In the song and music composition performed with participation of workers of art «heavenly» horses as fast as wind were glorified. Congratulations with the national holiday sound.

Having thanked actors for their inspiring performance, the head of the state passes to the indoor arena, on which the equestrian art group «Galkynysh» displayed its show. The group won the Gold Award and other special prizes at the 47th International Circus Festival in Monte Carlo in the Principality of Monaco as well as a number of other prestigious international awards, bringing a big contribution to wide popularisation of the national circus art in the world. Besides it, equestrians of the «Galkynyş» group take part in celebrations and cultural events all over the country on the occasion of significant dates, raising their prestige.

The beauty and dexterity of magnificent horses and skill of actors of the troupe, who perfume various difficult movements on race horses, have left an unforgettable impression on spectators.

On completion of the entertainment, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov passes to the open arena and takes his seat at the specially designated place.

In our country, a large-scale work is carried out to raise the prestige of the national equestrian sports, develop forms and national traditions of equestrian sports and increase in the livestock of thoroughbred horses.

Purposeful measures are realized to revive and enrich national traditions of horse breeding art of thoroughbred Akhal-teke breed. A large-scale activity is implemented to improve the selection and breeding work for the purpose of further improvement of the genotype of Akhal-teke horses.

Creation of the International Association of Akhal-teke Horse Breeding with its headquarters in Ashgabat became an important step in the given area. Its work consists in popularisation of international recognition of Turkmen horses, coordination of activity of horse breeders, profile experts and legal bodies, which are engaged in breeding of Akhal-teke horses in various countries, collection of the information on Akhal-teke horses, assistance for development of horse-breeding branch globally, organisation of international conferences and thematic exhibitions. From the moment of its establishment, private horse breeders from many countries of the world became members of this organisation and their numbers grows from year to year.

Thus, all-around development of the equestrian sector in the native land of Akhal-teke horses is a clear evidence of constant perfection of principles of national horse breeding and expansion of the scale of cooperation in this sphere.

In our fatherland, names of national horse breeders and masters-grooms who have brought a weighty contribution to augmentation of glory of Akhal-teke horses and their breeding, perfection of art of national seyis were immortalised. One of them - Aba Annayev who has brought a powerful contribution to development of Turkmen horse-breeding art, transfer from generation to generation its primordial traditions. He was the true master of his trade, having grown and having trained a considerable quantity of elite horses.

Assignment to one of the main avenues of the city of Arkadag and to the International Academy of Horse Breeding located in the «smart» city the name of the gifted seyis, is a token of deep respect paid in our country to talented masters-horse breeders. 

In this higher educational institution, highly skilled personnel for the sector, experts in the field of equestrian sport, tourism and circus art are trained. There, all conditions are created for training and conduction of scientific researches. At the Academy, the research-and-production centre of horse breeding equipped with modern technologies where students of the higher schools can improve their knowledge, operates and participates in scientific researches.

… The President of Turkmenistan is invited to the observation platform to receive as gift Akhal-teke horses as expression of immense gratitude for care of development of the horse-breeding branch.

In honour of the national holiday of the Turkmen horse on behalf of residents of Akhal velayat fine horse Arkach, from Balkan velayat – race horse Gazal, from Dashoguz velayat – race horse Diyar, from Lebap velayat – race horse Gunesh, from Mary velayat – race horse Palvan, from the city of Ashgabat – race horse Ynamly, on behalf of horse breeders from Arkadag city – race horse Parahat were given as gift.

On the occasion of the significant event, representatives of the younger generation of the country from each region, Ashgabat and Arkadag cities recited wonderful verses expressing words of deep gratitude to the head of the state.

On behalf of military and law enforcement bodies to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov the race horse named Vatanchy was presented.

The President of Turkmenistan expressed his gratitude to elders from velayats who take part in celebrations and all horse breeders, who bring a huge contribution in the history of «heavenly» horses.

The head of the state tied the alaja woven by his mother Ogulgerek eje on the neck of the horse Parahat presented on behalf of horse breeders of Arkadag city. In the international year of peace and trust, which marks the significant 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, it gets a special sense.

The announcement of the International year of peace and trust at the initiative of our country – a significant event in the history of neutral Turkmenistan, which confidently goes on the path of peace and creation under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The legal status of neutrality of our fatherland, three times recognised by the United Nations resolutions, shows that it is an effective tool to strengthen security and sustainable development in the region and the world.

Then, there the final round of the International competition «Ýylyň iň owadan ahalteke bedewi» took place. This competition of beauty of Akhal-teke horses – an unforgettable action, which annually draws attention of not only experts, but also fans of the elite breed.

These magnificent race horses, differed with their beauty, playfulness and boundless fidelity to their owners, deserve the highest respect of spectators.

During the final selection rounds in the competition, ten Akhal-teke horses were recognised by the jury panel as worthy to the title «Ýylyň iň owadan ahalteke bedewi».

At the observation platform magnificent horses, the elite representatives of the glorified breed that take their family trees from eminent ancestors, based the best breeding lines of Akhal-teke horses are taken.

The presenter by name introduces each race horse and acquaints with its family tree shortly. It is a horse of black colour Garaduman, dark-dun Janlygara and Perendagly, dun Melegush, Patrak, Meydanly, Gozbash, Vatanchy, bay - Pahimli, Kerven.

All finalists continue this or that breeding line which is going back to the well-known ancestors, and numerous admirers of «heavenly» racers could estimate the unique beauty of descendants of glorified horses who have laid basis in selection of cultivation of thoroughbred Akhal-teke horses.

Akhal-teke horses draw attention of not only fans of horses, but also judges of the art, after all, many artists and sculptors are inspired by their magnificence. The boundless love of Turkmen people to fast, quick horses has found reflexion in the classical literature, verses and songs of our poets, proverbs and sayings, works of national subjects. Such deep sayings as «Where a horse prances, there one can expect a holiday», «I have a horse and I have wings», «Having woken up early in the morning, first greet your father, then – your horse», «Horse – a friend of a good fellow».

Remarkable works by Hero-Arkadag - «Ahalteke horse - our pride and glory», «Swift step of race horse», «A horse - a symbol of faithfulness and happiness» serve a clear evidence of the huge respect rendered to our «heavenly» horses, and a valuable guide for the rising generation.

At first horses appeared before the public without festive trappings and then in their magnificent costumes of traditional national horse ornaments made by best masters-jewellers. The horses was accompanied by the presenter's text with data on horses-participants of the beauty contest, stories on national traditions connected with horses, their character and unusual qualities. The poetic verses devoted to «heavenly» horses also sounded.

Then, names of winners of the creative competition on artistic realisation of unique natural charm and beauty of horses in art were declared.

The best works have been chosen according to nominations - carpet product, jeweller product, the best picturesque and sculptural product, and printed production, pictures and TV footages.

The matchless shape, keenness, intelligence of Akhal-teke horse inspired authors into creation of different images filled with poetry and bright energy.

Prizes on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov were handed to the following winners: specialist  of the 1st category of the department of industry, building, architecture and other branches of economy of Gokdepe etrap khyakimlik of Akhal velayat Yu.Gulov - for a carpet cloth «Bedew batly Watanym!» ; teacher of the department  «Decorative and applied art» of the State Fine Arts Academy of Turkmenistan S.Orazberdiev - for ensemble of horse ornaments «Altyn bezeg»; 3 year student of the department  «Painting» of the State Fine Arts Academy of Turkmenistan  J. Gurbanov - for graphic product «Behişdi bedewler»; 3 year student of the department  «Sculpture» of the State Fine Arts Academy of Turkmenistan G.Hanov - for sculptural product «Şan - şöhrata beslenen türkmen bedewi»; 4 year student of the department «Decorative and applied art» of the State Fine Arts Academy of Turkmenistan A.Gutlyev - for printed work - a calendar «Şa serpaýly bedewli halylar»; head of the department of cameramen of the International information Centre of the State Committee for Television, Broadcasting and Cinematography of Turkmenistan B.Garlyev - for the video clip «Owazasy dünýä dolan Galkynyş».

Each of them tried to present in their creative work their view of the image of horse, as the standard of beauty, harmonies and an object of admiration.

Winners of the competition, having expressed to the President of Turkmenistan and Hero-Arkadag sincere gratitude for appreciation of their creative works, assured the head of the state that they would use their best efforts for augmentation of the world glory of our paradise race horses.

Then, the decision of the authoritative judiciary board of the International competition «Ýylyň iň owadan ahalteke bedewi» was declared.

The most beautiful Akhal-teke horse of 2025 was recognised the magnificent horse Melegush that was born in 2020, descendant of Gerden and Tugly belonging to the line of the glorified horse named Gyrsakar.

The main prize on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov - keys to the car of mark «Toyota Camry», a challenge cup and the diploma were handed to the winner of the International competition.

The seyis of the horse expressed deep gratitude to the head of the state for a valuable award and the huge attention given to development of the horse-breeding sector. He assured that Turkmen horse breeders would further continue work of ancestors in this direction, having wished the head of the state sound health and tremendous successes in his activity for the benefit of our fatherland.

Music and song performances in the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev became a finishing part of celebrations.

Then, the President of Turkmenistan warmly said goodbye to participants of the festival and left the place.
